How long do you stay for a Home Studio session? We typically spend approximately 20 minutes in your home doing the photography part, and 5 minutes either end in terms of set up and packing up. You will have the opportunity to see some samples on the photographers LCD display on the back of the camera, to give you an idea of what's been captured.
Are there any other options available in terms of prints?
We currently offer as part of the package, the choice of an A2 sized print, fully mounted and professionally framed, or a 60x40cm canvas. Both are of the highest quality standard, however the canvas print can take up to 14 days to have produced.
How many proofs do I get to choose from in a Home Studio Session? You should have at least 10 images to choose from, but that does depend on the set up you've opted for. Space is limited, so a big family shot might only offer the chance for one particular type of pose, and as a result may only need 3 or 4 images to choose from.
What format are the photos in? All DM Foto photos are shot in RAW and then converted to JPG format for download (where available).
Do you add photos on a regular basis? Yes. We add photos as they are taken. Click on "Newest Photos" to see the latest photos that we have posted.
Can I submit photos to sell? Right now the only photos that we sell are the ones taken by DM Foto and it's partners. In the future we may consider this.
Do you offer refunds? Once your purchase is made we can not offer a refund. The reason for this policy is because we offer full access to our entire digital collection of photos and, as such, there is no way for our products to be returned. On a rare occasion we will make exceptions on a case by case basis.
Are there any restrictions on my use of the DM Foto photos that I download? Yes. While DM Foto offers great freedoms and a wide ranges of uses, we do not allow the redistribution of our photos, or allow the use of our photos within products that are mass distributed in any type of archive format.
If I purchase a subscription are there any other fees I will encounter when downloading from the site? No, the current subscription level is on a month by month basis, with a limit of 10 image downloads.
Is account sharing allowed? No, sharing an account is no different than distributing our materials to others. Individual accounts must be purchased by your friends and colleagues.
I bought a subscription, but it says I'm not activated, what do I do?
On rare occasions our merchant processors may not send the information of your transaction to our system, so your account may not be automatically activated. Therefore, if you have made a purchase of our yearly subscription and you are not able to access photos DM Foto using your details, send a support request.
What sort of delivery should I expect?
We use first class post by default for UK orders and Air Mail for overseas orders up to 2kg in weight. International Courier shipping is available for orders over 2kg. The shopping basket will show the shipping charge for your order.
Any order for UK delivery valued at more than GBP30.00 is sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and so will require a signature upon receipt. You should specify a delivery address where someone can sign for the items.
What are the average turnaround times?
Most print orders are dispatched same day if received by 4pm Monday to Friday. Most UK customers receive their order next morning following dispatch. Larger orders and those with special instructions may require more time.
You will receive an email notification as soon as the order is dispatched. Most gift items require up to 3 working days before dispatch. Some other items such as canvas prints require longer.
Turnaround times are shown in the shopping basket and in order confirmation emails.
Unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for delays by the Royal Mail. However, if after one week after dispatch the order has not been received we will re-print and redispatch at no cost to the customer. Longer grace periods apply for international destinations.

We occasionally advertise promotional prices for our services. Special prices are only applied to orders placed online. We regret that orders placed by telephone, email and post do not qualify for our special offer prices.
