| DM Foto Wins Award |

I'm pleased to announce that DM Foto (me) won an award for the 'Feel The Energy' photography competition. I'm still trying to find out what the position was, but since I've only received the notification today I've had little time to find out.
The competition was to submit an image that would convey the feeling of energy for Dundalk County Council (dundalk.ie), I'd therefore submitted my Wind Turbine shot, taken on top of the Crowne Plaza Hotel on the Dublin Road in Dundalk.
Anyway, I'll be cashing the cheque in the morning and I'll try and find out more about where the photograph came in the scheme of things.
UPDATE: Well I found out a little bit more, basically just by digging through as many archives as I could find, and the competition was judged last September by local photographers in Dundalk. There we're 12 competition winners each receiving €100 each, but no overall winner, as that wasn't how it was formatted. Anyway, my only hope is that there weren't only 12 entrants. None-the-less, a win is a win!
