| Why I'm removing 6x4.5 Prints |
11/20 |
|
Why change? (Understanding aspect ratios)Just like your TV, different cameras have different aspect ratios and as such we sell prints to accommodate them. For example, if you’re ordering standard print sizes using images taken with a compact digital camera then 6”x4.5” prints are your best option. Whereas 6”x4” prints are the best size when ordering images taken with a digital SLR. Compact Digital CamerasMost compact cameras have an aspect ratio of 4:3 so 6”x4.5” prints are the best size to order Digital SLR CamerasMost digital SLR cameras have an aspect ratio of 3:2 and so 6”x4” is the best size to order Choosing the correct size prints means you can avoid having your image cropped or seeing a white border around your photo. This is shown in the example below which was taken on a digital SLR camera. A 6”x4.5” print means some of this photo would be cropped A 6”x4” print avoids cropping any part of this photo
